It isn’t always possible to protect your horse form every illness, or to prevent every injury, but there is a lot you can do that will put your horse way ahead of the game. Routine vaccinations, annual physicals, lab tests for age or breed associated diseases and good dentistry exams from an early age can forestall many problems. Such simple things as good housing and good nutrition, when practiced over a lifetime, have a great effect on your horse’s health.
